As Center Director of the Sylvan Learning Centers in Bahrain, Brandon Moseley is responsible for all facets of learning center operations. This includes maintaining Sylvan’s highest standards in the delivery of all educational programs, assuring detailed, comprehensive academic records of student progress, facilitating his students’ achievement of educational goals and working closely with their parents and classroom teachers to ensure each student's success.
In addition, his responsibilities include meeting regularly with schools and community organizations, participating in television and radio interviews about educational issues, and serving as a resource on educational issues to news media and others in the community.
Prior to joining Sylvan Learning Center, Mr. Moseley was the director of a large language institute in Brazil. He has also taught English at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and served for 4 years as a teacher of ESL and Spanish in the United States.
Mr. Moseley was awarded the National Teaching Award for Excellence for the 2004-05 academic year in the United States of America.
Jennifer is a Texas native. With her background in Special Education and extensive training in the field of standardized tests, she is an invaluable part of the Sylvan team. Jennifer teaches Elementary Math, Beginning Reading and Academic Reading.
Mrs. Ruaa has joined us from London, England. Her area of specialty is in helping students improve their reading comprehension as well as their writing skills.
Mr. Lindsey is the COO of Sylvan Gulf. He oversees the quality of the education of all of the Sylvan Learning Centers throughout the GCC region. Prior to working in the Middle East, Scott served as the District Manager for the Washington DC area in the USA.
Our favorite South African educator, Yumna is an experienced ESL, TOEFL and Kindergarten teacher. Miss Samrod has also worked with Sylvan Learning Qatar and has been the leader of a variety of special projects for gifted students in Bahrain, including the Crown Prince Scholarship program.
Aqeela has joined Sylvan this year and specializes in students requiring improved phonics, handwriting and Beginning Reading skills. Mrs. Aqeela is enjoying the chance to teach each student the reading and writing tools needed to be a very confident learner.
Sophie is from Birmingham, England. Miss Farmer works with Sylvan's Beginning Readers, Academic Writing, Math Essentials and Academic Reading students to help them earn better grades and feel more secure in school.
Sophie has rejoined Sylvan after working at Sylvan Learning Qatar as the Director of Education for the Al Khor and Abu Hammour centers.
