Ian oversees all aspects of the center's educational operations and is responsible for holding the center to the highest possible standards in the delivery of the student's educational programs. His responsibilities include: ensuring consistency and quality in the testing and instructional environments; maintaining detailed records of students' progress; working in close collaboration with parents and teachers at Sylvan and school to assist students in reaching their educational goals and ensuring each student's success; and continual training of Sylvan instructors.

Upul & Shanthi Gunasekera

Executive Directors

Upul holds a Master’s Degree in Finance & Banking from Mercy & Baruch College in New York as well as a Diploma in Financial/Credit Analysis from New York University. Upul has over 15 years of business management experience.

Shanthi is a nurse by profession. She also holds a Certificate in Accounting from UK.

Rajiev De Silva

Rajiev holds an M.B.A. degree from the University of North London (London Metropolitan University)- London, U.K. He has served 9 years as a Vice President in Equities Division at Goldman Sachs - New York, NY.
