I was born and raised in Florida and have been teaching mathematics since 2006. I studied at FSU and UCF. I have always tried to use my
interest in music, film, sports, and literature to combine mathematical
concepts and make them easier to understand.
I moved to FL from WI about 2 years ago. Prior to moving I graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a Bachelor's in English and a focus in education. Since moving here, I've worked with the Boys and Girls Club teaching gymnastics and also with Sylvan in their SES program with OCPS. I am currently attending Valencia College to gain my FL license to teach middle and high school English/Language arts. I love seeing the light bulb go on in students' heads when they figure something out they've been struggling with. Its very rewarding and I'd love to help your student achieve that feeling.

Every student, whether they are working to get ahead or working to catch up, deserves to be valued and respected. Sylvan offers me the flexibility to work part time while still keeping me close to the students I love.”
Originally from a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA and a graduate of Grove City College, Julie lived 24 years in western PA, and then spent the next 30 years in Rochester, NY. New jobs and new experiences as well as a love of Disney brought them to the area in 2010 where they expect to spend the next phase of their lives.
