Academic Writing Teacher

As a successful candidate, you will provide comprehensive writing instruction to students grades four through college/university. The students benefit from an integrated approach to writing that combines vocabulary, grammar and spelling instruction as well as strategies for successful pre-writing,revising, editing and publishing.

Requirements

*Bachelor of Education degree
*Alberta teaching certification
*Experience and demonstrated efficiency with the principals of writing
*Strong editing and revising abilities
*Ability to develop rapport with students
*Excellent communication and vocabulary skills
*Exceptional spoke and written English skills, especially grammar (and the rules of grammar)
*Flexibility

Instructional hours are Monday - Thursday (3:30 pm - 7:30 pm) and Saturdays (10:00am - 2:00pm). Tutors must be available a minimum of two days.
