Meet the Tutors
Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:
- Pinpoint your child’s learning needs using the Sylvan Skills Assessment®
- Develop a personalized learning plan based on your child’s goals
- Offer unique insights about what will work for your child
- Teach each lesson the way your child learns best
- Build a relationship with your child to provide learning that’s fun, engaging and rewarding
Susan J. Hoyer, MA. Ed.

Susan has been in education for over 20 years. She has taught Elementary, High School, and University students.
Bethanie Vorp, MA. Ed
Director of Education
Bethanie has taught at Sylvan as an Instructor and is now the Director of Education in Ballantyne. The students and teachers love working with her.
Megan Firestone
Instructor
Megan has been teaching for years at Sylvan and is one of our most requested SAT Instructors. Megan also teaches Reading and Math at our Center.
Tracey Princiotta
Instructor
Tracey is an English Teacher during the school day and comes to Sylvan in the afternoons and evenings to teach.
