Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

Greg Moore
Owner
Greg is a returning local who graduated from Franklin Community High School in 1983 and Indiana University, Bloomington, in 1987 (BS-Business) and 1995 (MBA). After school Greg spent several years working as a financial analyst for multi-national companies in Indiana, Ohio, Canada, and Japan. Happily back on native soil with his wife, he and Tamayo both look forward to helping young students in Indiana build the skills and confidence they need for their future.
Erin E. Strole
Center Director
Erin has been with our Bloomington center since 2007, drawing from her previous experience at the Sylvan Learning Center of Terre Haute she quickly became a valuable addition.
During her Undergraduate Studies she focused on Secondary Education in English/Language Arts and Special Education. She still works closely with the Community of Teachers program at Indiana University and would like to one day pursue a degree in Administration.
As both a parent and an educator, she is dedicated to quality instruction for all families. She strives daily to insure instructors deliver innovative teaching practices while providing individualized instruction every step of the way!
Sue Gens
Director of Education
Sue's educational background is scientific; having earned her B.S. in Entomology from Purdue University in 1991.
She teaches virtually all subjects at our center from Beginning Reading through High School Math. She is a master instructor, having attained her license in all five of Sylvan's major program groups: Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Study Skills, and SAT/ACT-Prep. Her extensive experience in teaching these subjects, along with her excellent communication skills, makes her an ideal fit to help our newer instructors get up to speed. She also has worked at our Franklin, Indiana center in a similar role and continues to assist there when needed.
Sue lives in Martinsville with her husband, Scott, and their fourth grade daughter, Megan. She lives on Lake Edgewood where there are plenty of insects and other wildlife for her and her family to study and explore.
Sue has been with Sylvan since 2005.
Adrianna Busick
Instructor - Math, Reading, Study Skills
Adrianna is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Music. She is a Bloomington native and is currently in a Transition-to-Teaching program.
Ashley Callahan
Instructor - Reading, Writing, Study Skills
Hello! My name is Ashley Callahan and I have taught elementary music in the North Lawrence Community for six years. It has been a privilege to tutor Reading, Writing, and Study Skills at Sylvan for five and a half years. I love to see young minds at work and get excited when a student makes progress. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to work with your child.
Dylan Hilderbrand
Instructor - Math, SAT Math, Study Skills
A Native of Bedford, IN, Dylan is a Purdue graduate in the field of engineering. He served in the US Navy as an engineer. He currently teaches at Bloomington New Tech High School.
Micaela Ions
Instructor
Micaela is a native of Michigan with prior experience teaching in both large public school systems (Detroit) and more local smaller schools in the Bloomington area. Her commitment to our students and the quality of their experience with us is unsurpassed.
Gabe Lubell
Instructor - Basic and Advanced Math, SAT, Science Homework Support, Study Skills
Gabe is a native of New York. He is a PhD candidate in music at Indiana University.
