- www.schoolmathprep.com for middle and high school math teachers to use in their classrooms
- www.bookadventure.com for children K-8 to read books and earn points for their reading comprehension and cash the points in for prizes. We are partnering with local school districts, libraries, and Borders with this website.
- Free SAT and ACT Diagnostic Testing for high schoolers, which can be offered as a 100% revenue fund raiser by groups
- Free academic seminars for parents/organizations/teachers on topics such as Test Anxiety, Transitions to Middle School or High School, SAT and ACT - what they are and how to do well on them, Forgotten Math for Parents, Algebra Spoken Here, etc.

Princess Project Dress Donation Drive at Sylvan Bonita!
Sylvan Learning of Bonita participated in a Donation Drive to benefit The Princess Project We were a Donation Drive Location for 2010 and accepted formal gowns. A special THANK YOU to all who donated a gown!
The Princess Project promotes self-confidence and individual beauty by providing free prom dresses and accessories to high school girls who cannot otherwise afford them. Donate your new or nearly new gowns or accessories! With your help, over 3,000 girls will be served in dress giveaways in March throughout San Diego!
I LOVE MY TEACHER PARTY!!
Yes, that time of year just passed, when we nominate our children's favorite teachers, past or present.
We accepted nominations from all of our current Sylvan students, then contacted each classroom teacher that was nominated. We honored these teachers individually at our I Love My Teacher party on Saturday Feb 20th, 2010 at 4:15p.
Please encourage your children to think of a special teacher that meant a lot to them. We would love to contact that teacher and honor that teacher at our party.
We made special personalized bookmarks for our teachers, as well as presented each with a certificate. Our students had the opportunity to read their nomination to their favorite teacher at our ceremony to honor their teacher personally.
Thank you to all who joined us in this wonderful event to honor those that do so much for our children.
Sylvan Bonita sends donations to the 3rd Bn 4th Marines
Our community service for the 2009 Christmas season was supporting the 3rd Bn 4th Marines that are presently in Afghanistan.
Kathleen Rocca, owner of Eastlake Rejuvenation Center, has a son that is deployed, and she collects donations for his platoon to send out to them every week. We supported her efforts and also collected donations for them.
As a former Soldier, I can assure you that mail makes your day! My brother is also a Marine in Afghanistan, and he assures me that what we send from the states is all they have, no stores out there... Sylvan students were awarded 25 tokens for bringing 2+ donations! Many thanks to our Sylvan students who donated.

Sylvan volunteers at the Bonita Tree Lighting Ceremony!
Santa visited on an antique fire engine from the Bonita-Sunnyside Fire Department.
LaDreda Lewis, CEO, and Elizabeth Hayes, Center Director, were in Santa hats, passing out cookies, cocoa, and reading classic Christmas stories. They also led the craft area.
Children made Christmas book marks and received “goodie bags” sponsored by Sylvan Learning of Bonita. We also read Christmas stories to the children and were sung "The Twelve Days of Christmas" by Isabella Jaquez, Elizabeth Hayes' daughter.
It was a great photo opportunity for parents and grandparents.

To thank teachers for all they do every day, we took portable snacks to local schools on the first day of school for teachers to enjoy.
We also offer a 20% K-12 credentialed teacher discount to show our appreciation.

Book Adventure **FREE RESOURCE FOR K-8**
Book Adventure is a FREE reading motivation program for children in grades K-8.
Children create their own book lists from over 7,000 recommended titles, take multiple choice quizzes on the books they've read, and earn points and prizes for their literary successes.
