The Study Skills program is designed to teach students to use effective study techniques, organizational skills, time management skills and test taking strategies.
Each student is taught a variety of strategies that match their learning preference, thus ensuring that study time is efficient and effective. Various exercises and lessons allow students to become better time managers. Students will not only be given tools to help organize school work, but they will also be encouraged to become better organizers of their own lives.
Students will receive reviews and new techniques in taking various types of notes for different medias, (lectures, text books,) dealing with test anxiety, and developing strategies for different types of tests.

Sylvan's SAT Preparation Course has proven to significantly increase test scores (160 points on average for the SAT) to help students get into the colleges and universities of their choices.
Our Spring SAT Prep Class will begin the week of March 22, 2010, preparing for the May 1st test date.
Class size is limited, so call now!
We are currently opening up another class for this test prep date! T/TH from 5-7, beginning March 23, 2010. Call to register and take the pre-test so we can cater the class to your specific needs for growth! 925.679.8667
