Sylvan's tutors teach skills that last a lifetime. We help students learn how to become self-motivated and achieve independence; above all else, we enable them to approach school — and life — with confidence.
We also maintain Sylvan tutoring special offers and seasonal promotions that make getting your child on the road to success easier.
Students that attend our centre for personal instruction come from the local school divisions, as well as from the surrounding school divisions. We also have students who attend Ecole Valois, the local French school. Some are SIAST students, while others attend university and need tutoring help. We also have students who come from the surrounding First Nations communities.
Our students, who are between 4 1/2 to 62 years of age, come from Prince Albert and surrounding communities, such as Christopher Lake, La Ronge, Big River, Debden, Shellbrook, Canwood, Leask, Blaine Lake, Parkside, Holbein, Meath Park, Smeaton, Snowden, Nipawin, Carrot River, Hudson Bay, Porcupine Plain, Tisdale, Melfort, Gronlid, Naicam, Humboldt, Watson, Kinistino, Birch Hills, St. Louis, Cudworth, Wakaw, Duck Lake, Rosthern and St. Brieux. From Manitoba we have had students from Thompson, Benito, and The Pas.
Some distance students are enroled in Sylvan Online, which provides a real teacher in real time through the usage of technology.
If your child has been struggling with high school math (algebra, work place math, calculus), or even in the earlier grades with Math Makes Sense, for the best results get tutoring earlier in the semester rather than later. When a student comes weekly for help, their tutor can review their current work, teach weak areas, and prepare the student for the next unit of work.
Sylvan Learning Prince Albert has the most outstanding math tutors in Prince Albert. They have all passed their high school math certification with Sylvan University, where 80% is the minimum passing grade.
When you register for high school math tutoring during the 2012-2013 school year, you will receive a free graphing calculator (while supplies last).
