"I have seen a marked improvement in my daughter's math skills and comprehension of new concepts in Math since she has been at Sylvan. My daughter started at Sylvan while in the 4th grade because I felt she didn’t get enough drills and enough time on learning new concepts. She was still counting on her fingers and she wasn’t really confident in her multiplication and division. It would take her close to 45 minutes to finish her Math homework, not because she didn’t understand it, but because it would take her quite some time to compute the arithmetic. Each time she had a major math test, her Sylvan instructor helped her to study and she could go into the test confident. By the end of the school year, my duaghter said Math was Easy and she could finish her math homework within 20 minutes. She is now in the 5th grade and most of her math homework is completed in school. When you tested her again after 72 hours of instruction, there were dramatic increases to her grade level equivalent—anywhere from 3 to 5 grade level changes upward! I like the fact that when my daughter learns a new math concept in school, I can come to you to review this with her so I know she really understands the concept. Actually, this is true of any subject. She loves coming to Sylvan!"
