Visit the Planet Gymnastics website! Is your child's annual IEP or 504 review coming up soon? Or, has your son or daughter been recently recommended for an initial evaluation to determine his or her eligibility for special needs services. Yes, this can be a potentially stressful situation, but take a breath and know that we can help you through the process.
Sylvan Learning of Acton provides educational consultation services free of charge for the families of enrolled students. The Center Director has the knowledge and experience to help you understand your child's IEP by translating the often tricky educational jargon into words we can all understand, by helping you make changes to IEP drafts that will benefit your child before the document is signed and valid for entire calendar year, and even by attending your child's annual review meeting to sit by your side through the process.
The cost of educational advocacy can be so high that it effectively precludes it as a viable option. You can feel good about the fact that if your child is enrolled with us, you receive this invaluable service as part of your relationship with us at no extra cost.
If you are exploring our local site because you have concerns about the IEP/504 process and need a bit of reassurance, please don't hesitate to click on the link below. You will soon be in direct communcation with someone who can help you out.
We have found that in our community, which serves the towns of Acton, Boxborough, Concord, Carlisle, Lincoln, Sudbury, Maynard, Harvard, Stow, Bedford, Westford, Littleton, Tyngsboro, Chelmsford, Groton, Dunstable, and even as far west as Marlborough and Framingham, that many of our parents have the same sorts of qeustions and/or concerns as they pertain to the educational needs of their kid(s). The questions typically fall under a variety of categories:
Is my child...
*In need of assistance to reach his/her potential?
*Developing low self-esteem?
*Losing interest in learning?
*Preparing for college testing, including college entrance exams, SAT and ACT tests?
*Struggling to focus on a task (e.g.-spending more time daydreaming than on reading or on homework)?
*Receiving test scores that do not reflect his/her daily performance?
*Interested in enriching himself/herself beyond the classroom?
Inevitably, when the answer to any of these quesions is "yes" chances are that student will benefit greatly from personalized instruction.
The Acton center has a demonstrated track record for almost two decades of being able to not only address these concerns, but exceed the expectations of its clients. We are proud of the local distinction we have as the "Gold Standard" for supplemental education services.
At Sylvan Learning Center of Acton, we are committed to providing you outstanding educational services to help your child to his or her very best! Your feedback is invaluable. It allows us to measure how well we are meeting the needs of you and your family.
