Administrative/Teacher Assistant

As an Instructional Assistant, you will be a part of the Chelmsford Instructional Team. You will work in conjunction with other part time instructional assistants to provide a fun yet professional environment for Sylvan Students. You will ensure smooth instruction period transitions, monitor the in-house supply store and maintain center order and cleanliness. As a member of our team, you will handle a variety of clerical tasks to help meet our student’s needs such as reception, filing, and copying as well. Requires knowledge of basic office equipment and effective problem-solving and communication skills. You must have a solid customer service skills, & detail orientation skills. Hours will vary but expect to get 8-12 per week.

As an Instructor at Sylvan, your primary responsibilities are:
Just Teaching. No Lesson Plans. No Preparation.

As a part-time Sylvan Instructor, you will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a small group, 3:1 setting. You will provide personalized instruction in Reading, Writing, Math, Study Skills, SAT/ACT prep and State exams to students of all levels. Day, evening and weekend positions.

As a successful Instructor, you will:
Deliver Quality Education:

* Teach using Sylvan based programs
* Supervise, interact with and motivate students during instruction hour while they work with
equipment and materials
* Reward students for completed assignments

* Develop rapport with students and establishes a fun learning environment
* Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan

Requirements
We require:
