Meet the Tutors

The tutors of Peabody Sylvan Learning Center are all Sylvan trained and certified so that they can best address your child’s academic needs. Our tutors are dedicated to working closely with you and your child in order to help your child reach his or her goals. We start by pinpointing your child’s strengths and areas for improvement through the Sylvan Skills Assessment®. From there, our Peabody staff develops a personalized learning plan for your child and offers unique insights about what methods will work best with your child. Ultimately, our tutors will build a relationship with your child and provide a fun, engaging, and rewarding learning environment. The Peabody Sylvan Learning Center staff consists of highly experienced and established educational professionals who take great pride in their work with students who want to catch up, keep up, or get ahead.

Nancy Alerle

She completed her degree in Illinois at Wheaton College, graduating with a BS in Biology and a Secondary Education credential.

Nancy’s education training came in handy when she took on the job of home-schooling her three children through the third grade. Now grown and college graduates themselves, Nancy and her husband Peter are pleased to see their passion for learning continue.

Nancy’s newest and most delightful spare-time activity is playing with her two –year-old grandson. She is anxiously awaiting the arrival of grandson/playmate number two next month. Also near the top of her “Favorite Things to Do” list are; getting her hands dirty in her flower beds, hiking, reading and road-tripping across America with Pete.
