The Sylvan Learning Center of Brookline is dedicated to our community. We enjoy being active in the Brookline area and have worked with local businesses, schools, and community groups. Engagement in our community is a key way for us to promote the importance of learning and education. Boston Middle O!
Nicole and Erica from Sylvan of Brookline handed out back to school kits to over 200 families at the Boston Public Schools Middle School Orientation on Friday, August 27th.

On August 17 Nicole, Erica and Andy met with future college students at Regis College. Attending students and families were able to talk to undergraduate admissions staff from over 30 New England colleges and several financial aid and college prep organizations.

In celebration of the 106th birthday of the late Dr. Seuss, Sylvan is proud to partner with the National Education Association (NEA) to celebrate the 14th anniversary of NEA's Read Across America on March 2, 2010.
The Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 and Thing 2 visited Runkle School in Brookline on Friday, February 26th and read Dr. Seuss's I Can Read With My Eyes Shut. They also encouraged students to pledge to read on March 2nd. Each student received a Dr. Seuss bookmark and a personal copy of the Student Pledge.
A special thanks to Runkle School's Librarian, Teresa Gallo-Toth and Principal, Dr. Joseph Connelly for helping to make this event a success!
WBZ Business Breakfast Series
Sylvan Learning was a proud supporting sponsor for the WBZ Business Breakfast Series event "Paying for College: Mastering Financial Assistance". The event gave families great insight into the realities of paying for college. The discussion included a panel of speakers from Harvard University, Boston College, UMass Boston, and Lesley University.

Community Service Fair
