First a student, now a teacher!

"I had spent two years of staying in at recess, working with teachers, and private tutors to help me with math. With my self-esteem and self image at an all time low, my mother brought me to Sylvan Learning Center, hoping the tears would stop, the nights of fighting to end, as well as my struggle with math to stop in 1989. Within weeks, my math skills started to solidify and my self-esteem started to improve. The small group instruction, positive atmosphere, and lessons tailored to my needs helped me transfer what I learned at Sylvan to my school. I am a certified special educator now who has the pleasure of working at Sylvan. I understand what its like to be at the other side of the table, which makes me a better Sylvan instructor."

Higher SAT Scores

HESI Exam Prep

"It's been awhile since I've contacted Sylvan but I wanted to share a story. I took the HESI prep course this past summer at Sylvan in Concord and had an amazing instructor, Connie. I had alot of trouble in math and she was amazing at helping me. I passed the HESI with flying colors. I received a 94 on the Math, and 80s and 90s on the rest. I also got accepted into the nursing program for the fall at NHTI. So thank you so much for making my dream of becoming a nurse start to unfold. Thank you"
