Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:
Kaitlyn has a BA in Mathematics and a NH teaching certification 7 - 12. She enjoys backpacking, tap dancing, dehydrating food and gardening. Kaitlyn grew up in Westboro, MA and has one brother and one sister. She currently lives in Keene, NH. What she loves most about teaching at Sylvan is "helping the students prepare for their SAT's!"
Sara is a graduate of Notre Dame College in Manchester, NH, and one of 4 sisters. She is a woman with a love of cats, learning, history, dancing, and singing.
Sara came out of a classroom to the Director of Education position, and became Center Director in July of 2006. She and Steve became the franchisees of the Keene Center in November, 2008. To Sara, the best part of being a part of Sylvan is "the positive personal interactions I get to have with my students and their families, and the 'Ah-ha!' looks the students get when they understand."
Steve graduated from Lawrence University in Wisconsin and spent 14 years working for IBM before returning to the classroom in 1993 to continue his own learning. Steve now lives in Northfield, MA with his wife, two children, and two cats. His favorite part about Sylvan? Working with students and seeing their growth in confidence.
Jennifer D'Alessio, otherwise known as Jenny, graduated from Keene State College. She received a B.S. in Elementary Education and a B.A. in Theatre Arts. She is currently the Assistant Director of the Keene High School drama club. She also does private tutoring.
Alyssa is working on her Master's Degree at Keene State College, teaching in the Keene School District and spending several hours each week with Sylvan. This very busy lady is a friendly, upbeat educator with the best interest of all of her students at heart.
