Just what we needed

My daughter recently completed the study skills program at Sylvan, and I wanted to let you know that we were extremely pleased with how the program enhanced her skills and gave her a solid foundation for high school. Most schools don’t teach students how to study; they are too busy focused on what to study, so the teachers don’t teach the basic techniques such as taking tests, taking notes, and listening during a lecture for the critical learning points. My daughter, an extremely strong student, was initially reluctant to take the program, but she really enjoyed attending and picked up lots of tips that have helped her be an even better student. The way the course is structured allowed her to move at her own pace (which was quicker than anticipated) and we believe what she has learned will help her succeed in high school and beyond.
