Center Director, Trumbull tutoring

Pat Sullivan

Center Director

Pat has been in education for more than twenty years. She began as a teacher, teaching grades 2, 4, 5 and 6 over the span of eleven years. During that time Pat pursued her Master’s Degree in Educational Technology and Instructional Development. Upon completion of that program she earned her 6th Year Degree in Educational Administration, Supervision and Leadership.

Pat was the principal of an elementary school for seven years before joining Sylvan Learning Center. She is an educational consultant to local area preschools and stays current with all public and private education initiatives.

Lead Teacher, Trumbull tutoring

Frank Piazza

Lead Teacher

Frank is a certified English teacher with a Masters in Education. He joined Sylvan in 1996 after teaching English and Theater for 27 years at Stratford High School.

Frank has become an integral part of the Sylvan Trumbull team. In addition to tutoring students in the afternoon he is in charge of developing daily lesson plans in our reading, math, writing and study skills programs.

Sarah Burns-Raggio

Education Program Manager

Sarah began her teaching career as a 4th grade teacher at a magnet school here in CT. After taking time off to raise her 3 children she joined the Sylvan Team as a test administrator in 2005. In 2006 she was promotoed to Education Program Manager. Sarah continues to assess students and also manages academic programs.

Sarah is a certified teacher and has her Master's Degree in Education from Sacred Heart University.
