Parent of a Middle School Writing Student"Our daughter was struggling in school, falling behind her classmates, in reading and writing. We went to Sylvan for help. Jill's scores on the Connecticut Mastery Tests have improved by 37 points, compared to the school average of 16 points. This has placed her in the 'goal' range, up from 'proficient'. Her confidence in her writing was very low. Her stories were often disorganized and lacked focus. She can now self-correct any issues with her writing. Jill's grades in reading and writing improved from B's & C's to A's & B's. She is now in 8th grade and enjoys reading and writing! She has taken great pride in getting good grades.
