Center Director, Cranford tutoring

Shelley Grobe

Center Director

Shelley has been the Center Director since the Cranford Center opened in 2000. Shelley earned a Bachelor's degree in English Education and a Master's degree in Reading Specialization. She has previous teaching experience as a Teacher of English in public school and as an Assistant Professor of Communication Skills at Rutgers University. Shelley is a frequent contributor of education articles to the Suburban News and has often spoken at local high schools on how to prepare for the SAT.

Director of Education, Cranford tutoring

Karin Searson

Director of Education

Karin has been part of the Sylvan community for more than 12 years and has been Cranford's Director of Education for 9 years. She has a B.S. in Elementary and Special Education and has 13 years experience teaching students with learning disabilities. Karin is responsible for diagnostic testing, program planning and monitoring all students enrolled at Sylvan.

Jennifer Ferris

Program Manager of Language Arts

Jennifer has been Program Manager of Language Arts at the Cranford Center since 2000. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and is completing a Master's degree in School Counseling. Jennifer is responsible for daily lesson plans for students enrolled in Sylvan's Reading, Writing, and Study Skills programs.
