BOOK ADVENTURE
One of the busiest sites on the web for kids is Sylvan's Book Adventure. This is such a great place to find age and grade-level appropriate books for your child. It's a totally FREE site and will help you choose books on all subjects that will be of interest. There are comprehension quizzes, a prize locker, a parent and teacher zone and suggestions to encourage student reading. Go to bookadventure.org and sign up! You can have your child try Book Adventure with several sample quizzes located on the website.
SUMMER IS HERE - AVOID LEARNING LOSS!
As you make your plans for summer, make sure that Sylvan is on the list. Did you know that over summer break your child could lose up to 2-1/2 months of what was learned in school this year? Don't let that happen - make Sylvan an important part of your child's summer! It's a great time of year to catch up, keep up and get ahead. A little time at Sylvan during the summer can make a big difference next fall. We offer special summer programs, plus fun activities such as reading contests, attendance prizes, and theme weeks. We also add morning hours to our schedule for greater flexibility and convenience.
