Hooray for Math Essentials!

"We are writing to express our heartfelt thanks for the wonderful job that you did with our daughter, Caleigh. Caleigh spent a year coming to Sylvan twice a week and her progress has been remarkable. You did what we, and her teachers, weren't able to do, and she entered fifth grade a more confident and capable learner. I would recommend the Sylvan program to anyone-it's worth every penny. Caleigh enjoyed going and the staff couldn't have been nicer and the rewards part of the program was perfect for her. Sylvan is a huge commitment of both time and money, and our family gave up a lot of other activities to make sure she got to Sylvan. But in the end we have far more freedom-math homework does not take all evening-and far less stress knowing she is all caught up. There is no shame in seeking help, and knowing how to work hard for something and how good it feels when you "get it" is a lesson that will serve her well in life. "When Kahlan started public school, it was obvious very soon she was in way over her head. She was not receiving enough help from her school, and was rapidly falling behind. We had to ASK to have her tested and even then could see no light at the end of this bleak tunnel. Kahlan was not only suffering scholastically but emotionally. The staff at Sylvan saw all the problems as soon as my child was tested. They knew that this was a child that needed positive reinforcement, even if she was NOT in the top of the class. Joyce has become our angel. Kahlan's grades improved, she learned to read and write, and she is rapidly catching back up with her class. Even her social skills improved.
