Dedicated to Sylvan Until College!"“My child has learned very strong basic skills coming to Sylvan in the areas of Math, Reading, and Writing. She attends public school and I find a great deal missing from school in terms of the essentials in all subjects, but I never worry because she learns them at Sylvan. She is a great reader, mathematician and writer and I owe it mostly to Sylvan. We are committed to their program of learning until college. - Anonymous, Sylvan Parent written on December 4, 2011 |
Drastic Changes!"“Jamaal has been at Sylvan for over a year. He has improved in school drastically. Sylvan has played a big part in Jamaal’s education. I thank you guys so much for the one on one experience.”" - Ms. Tashanik Smith, Sylvan Parent written on November 9, 2011 |
Reading with Confidence!"“When Amaree started Sylvan Learning Center, he was struggling with Reading and Comprehension Skills. His confidence level was low and he thought he couldn’t do it. After we enrolled him into Sylvan, Amaree turned into a different person. His reading, comprehension and confidence level went up. He loved his teachers. They were all very friendly and helpful. They explained the work to him in a way he could understand.”" - Ms. Denetra Harrell, Sylvan Parent written on Dec. 5, 2011 |
ABCs to Reading!"“In three short months my daughter has gone from needing instruction with learning the alphabet to reading. Her confidence has soared and she has a new excitement for learning! Great Job!”" - Cleo C., Sylvan Parent |
Homework Support"“My son is transitioning from elementary school to middle school and was getting very frustrated while doing his homework. Now after 6 weeks of tutoring, his confidence level is up, it takes him less time to do his homework, his grades on his homework and tests are significantly up and he enjoys going to school.”" - Karen G., Sylvan Parent |
Beginning Reader to Confident Student"“My son Tyler started Sylvan in February 2011 and was reading at a K – 1st grade level. Tyler was a very shy child with low self-confidence. Tyler is now completing one year with Sylvan. I, as a single parent am proud to say that I made the right choice enrolling my son in Sylvan. Tyler is now reading out loud, has matured, and has built up his self confidence. Sylvan has been such a success to Tyler that his teachers from his school have given me great reports on how well he’s reading and how much he has changed. Tyler is now reading at a 2nd grade level and approaching 3rd grade level. I’m very proud to say that my child is a success here at Sylvan. I wouldn’t have done it any other way. My son wouldn’t be where he’s at today without Sylvan and the fantastic staff!”" - Ms. Sandra Lassi, Sylvan Parent written on Dec. 22, 2011 |
Promotion"I first began to notice my son’s frustration with math 3 months after he began the 5th grade. His teacher was complaining about his distractibility in class, his lack of participation and he was failing to complete his homework. I began to sit with him at night during homework time and I realized he was having an extremely difficult time with division, fractions and the concept of the times tables. He used to cry and whine because he just didn’t understand how to do it. I used to get angry and frustrated because I couldn’t explain the concepts to him. I went to school many, many years ago and I have forgotten most of that stuff. When he got a 56 in his grade I decided to call Sylvan. I had seen the commercial on TV and I wanted to know if it was trued the success stories they showed. Today I am convinced they are. - A.R Graciano |
