The best decision we made!
"When our son Julian was only five years old, we made a hard decision to hold him back in Kindergarten because he was struggling in identifying the alphabet and reading comprehension. After his second year in Kindergarten, Julian still could not read. The school board pushed Julian to first grade. His first grade teacher noticed that Julian was still struggling and the school board evaluated him and put him into special reading classes. After six months, I didn't notice much improvement and decided to go the Sylvan way. When we discussed the idea with Julian and show him the commercial, he was not only excited but relieved. Sylvan worked out an affordable program with us and Julian attended eagerly. Julian actually begged to go full time to Sylvan instead of school because of the individual attention he was receiving with the teachers at Sylvan. He was reading within a short time. Learning to read has boosted his confidence that can not be explained on paper. His teacher told Julian for most improved and was given a Student of the Month award for academic achievement. As a mother and a professional in the business world, I strongly recommend Sylvan Learning Center to all parents with a child struggling to read. When I discussed taking Julian to Sylvan with coworkers, I found that out of 20 people, at least 5 of them had sent their child to Sylvan with great success stories. One gentlemen said that Sylvan is the reason his daughter is doing so well in college."
