Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

Barbara Steiger
Center Director
Barbara holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Hofstra University and a bachelor of science degree from State University of New York Binghamton. Barbara has been a certified center director for the past 6 years. Presently, Barbara is the Center Director two Sylvan Learning Centers located at Levittown, NY and Wading River, NY.
Marcia Pescitelli
Director
Marcia received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from C.W. Post.She is a New York State certified teacher. She taught elementary grades for three years and pre-kindergarten for nine years prior to teaching at the Sylvan Learning Center. A teacher here since 2003, Marcia was promoted to the Director of Education position in 2006.
Mubashir Ahmed
Executive Director
Mubashir Ahmed holds a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics, and has an extensive educational and industrial background. He worked as a Computer Science Research Fellow for 4 years, and also has 12 years of teaching experience. Mubashir also worked for 11 years in Information Technology with Time Warner Cable of New York City.
