LANGUAGE ARTS INSTRUCTOR

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Why did you first decide to become a teacher? At Sylvan, we remember why.
As a successful Language Arts Instructor at Sylvan, your primary responsibilities will include teaching. You will be trained in the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a small-group setting. You will provide personalized instruction in Beginning Reading (K-2), Academic Reading (2nd and up), Academic Writing, and Study Skills to elementary, middle school and high school students.
WE REQUIRE:
• Bachelor’s degree
• State level teaching certification
• Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience
• Initial days of need are Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays

You will be trained in the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a small-group setting. You will provide personalized instruction in Beginning Reading, grades pre-K through 2nd, focusing primarily on Word Analysis, Sight Vocabulary and Comprehension skills. We provide all the lesson plans and materials. We just need YOU to be a highly engaged, energetic and detail-oriented instructor.
