The federal law known as the No Child Left Behind Act requires New York State to identify schools that need to improve. It also provides for free tutoring for eligible students at those schools. If your child qualifies, you can take advantage of this great opportunity to improve your child's reading or math skills.
If it is identified as a school in need of improvement, your school district has put together a list of tutoring service providers that meet their standards. As the parent or guardian of an eligible child, you can choose any provider on that list.
