Sylvan Learning in Amherst Wins Two Consecutive Nickelodeon's ParentsConnect's Parents' Picks Awards
Sylvan Learning in Amherst has again been selected as a Nickelodeon's ParentsConnect's Annual Parents' Picks Award winner.
The awards identify winners in 52 major U.S. cities with categories ranging from best toy store to best kids' museum. Amherst's Sylvan Learning, owned by Kenneth Schmidt, has won an educational award for Best Tutor/College Prep in 2008 and 2009.
"The Parents' Pick Awards are a quick and easy way for parents to find outstanding children's venues and programs in our neighborhood," said Schmidt.
"The Sylvan Learning located in Amherst is the area's premiere provider of personalized learning plans for students in grades K-12. We are honored to be chosen for two consecutive years as the best educational provider by our local community in this popular awards program."
All nominated businesses were chosen based on recommendations from ParentsConnect.com's local city editors who live and work in Amherst, in conjunction with the ParentsConnect users' suggestions.
