Meet the Tutors
The tutors of Webster Sylvan Learning Center are all Sylvan trained and certified so that they can best address your child’s academic needs. Our tutors are dedicated to working closely with you and your child in order to help your child reach his or her goals. We start by pinpointing your child’s strengths and areas for improvement through the Sylvan Skills Assessment®. From there, our Webster Center staff develops a personalized learning plan for your child and offers unique insights about what methods will work best with your child. Ultimately, our tutors will build a relationship with your child and provide a fun, engaging, and rewarding learning environment. The Webster Sylvan Learning Center staff consists of highly experienced and established educational professionals who take great pride in their work with students who want to catch up, keep up, or get ahead.

Lisa Sandolo
Director of Education
Lisa Sandolo is currently the Director of Education at the Sylvan Learning Center in Webster, New York. Lisa completed her Bachelor of Science in Childhood/Special Education at St. John Fisher College in 2005 and her Master’s in Literacy (Birth – 12th Grade) at St. John Fisher College in 2010. Lisa first started at Sylvan as an Academic Reading, Study Skills, and Beginning Reading teacher in 2006. During that same time, Lisa also taught 4th grade at Derech HaTorah of Rochester. In September of 2007, Lisa became the Director of Education at the Webster center. As a Director of Education, Lisa is in charge of evaluating students for program placement, program development for students in reading, writing, and math, parent-director conferences, and school visits. Lisa’s favorite part about Sylvan is being able to work with the students and their families and seeing them succeed! In Lisa’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She also enjoys playing softball and scrapbooking. Lisa looks forward to seeing her students continue to gain the independence and the confidence needed to accomplish their goals!
Becky Wallace
Director of Education
Becky earned her Bachelor’s degree at Roberts Wesleyan College and her Master’s degree at SUNY Albany. She is permanently certified to teach Elementary, Music, and Special Education and has been a teacher and administrator with Sylvan Learning Center for seven years. Currently a Director of Education, she focuses primarily on designing and maintaining educational programs for students in all areas, as well as on administering and evaluating initial and ongoing assessments. An avid reader and dedicated educator, Becky especially enjoys helping students apply their blossoming skills to books they’ll love.
