I was watching tv last night, and saw your ad. I couldn't help but think of how many years had passed, since we sat in your office ... I believe I was in tears at some point ... worried about Nicole's ability to learn.
You put us at ease ... assuring us that you and your team at Sylvan could make a difference.
I thought you might enjoy knowing where Nicole is now ... and how when she gets her grades or does well on an assignment ... we'll often say "gosh, I guess Grandma and Grandpa's investment in Sylvan for Nicole has really paid off".
She graduated from Niagara University in May with her undergraduate degree ... business, political science, pre law ... with academic honors. She is now back at NU ... working on her MBA. She took her LSATs earlier this month, and earned a 144 (a score that disappointed her, but her advisor is pleased with that). She is currently working on her law school applications. She's been on Dean's list since her 3rd semester of undergraduate studies ... once she 'got a taste' of good grades ... she pushed herself even harder.
She has worked part time jobs throughout her time at college ... medical records for the ENT practice at Strong, TOPS (prepared foods), ESpirit clothes (Niagara Falls outlet mall) ... and now, is loving her job working in adult group homes with Heritage Christian Services (both in Buffalo and Rochester).
She's 22 ... and making good choices. She's had some lumps and bumps along the way ... she's learned from her experiences.
Learning is a life long experience ... so many variables go into each of our experiences ... please know, that we are grateful for the Sylvan experience for Nicole."
