Meet the Tutors
Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:
- Pinpoint your child’s learning needs using the Sylvan Skills Assessment®
- Develop a personalized learning plan based on your child’s goals
- Offer unique insights about what will work for your child
- Teach each lesson the way your child learns best
- Build a relationship with your child to provide learning that’s fun, engaging and rewarding
Cheryl Veith
Teacher
Cheryl has been with Sylvan Learning Center since the summer of 2008. She has her degree in Secondary English and works with our SAT/ACT students.
Jennifer Wagner
Teacher
Sylvan welcomes back Jen Wagner. She tutored previously in 2006. Jen works with our reading, writing, study skills and SAT/ACT prep students. She has her degree and teaching certification in English with a concentration in writing.
Eleanore Anderson
Teacher
Eleanore has been at Sylvan since August 2009. She has a degree in Elementary Education with a Math concentration. She enjoys working with students and plans on continuing to teach for many years to come!
Mike Walz
Teacher
Mike has been teaching at Sylvan Learning Center since November 2008 at the Kingwood location in Texas. He has been a part of the Erie Sylvan team since October 2009! Mike holds a Masters degree of Science in Engineering.
Julie Geisler
Teacher
Julie joined the Sylvan Learning Center team in July 2010. She has a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and Certification in Middle School Mathematics.
Eric Hamilton
Teacher
Eric became part of the Sylvan Learning Center team in October 2010. He holds a degree in Mathematics, grades 7-12, along with a degree in Earth and Space Science.
Kevin Silakowski
Teacher
Kevin has been teaching at Sylvan Learning Center since October 2009. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and a Master's Degree in Mathematics Education.
