Faith MacKenzie is very proud and excited to Center Direct the fantastic team here at Sylvan Learning Center of Langhorne, PA. Ms. Faith has earned a Bachelor's Degree concentrating in writing and political science from Sarah Lawrence College. After working for years in private education, Faith loves to put to use all of her own, and the staff’s, special skills. Full of relentless positive energy and motivation, Ms. Faith enjoys working with students and parents everyday to set academic goals, work towards learning new skills, and celebrate the joy of seeing each student achieve their potential and gain the confidence it takes to succeed. Ms. Faith has been fortunate enough to have worked with wonderful teachers whom have inspired her to strive for her best in school, thus she has found her passion in inspiring other students to do the same. Ms. Faith especially enjoys coaching the students through writing essays, as well as mentoring them through the SAT and college application process. In her free time, Ms. Faith enjoys spending time with her family and pets, as well as the participating in the performing arts and singing in the Philadelphia area.
Sylvan Learning Center has been Mrs. Rachel’s career for the past eleven years. Before coming to the Langhorne, PA location permanently, Mrs. Rachel supported many learning centers in the tri-state area as an educational expert. Along with a genuine love of teaching, she brings to the table a Masters degree from Arcadia University in Secondary Education with an English
Certification. She has served in many roles throughout her years at Sylvan, but has found a home among the wonderful staff at our center. Mrs. Rachel takes pride in maintaining the highest quality in each of our student’s educational programs. She has a strong passion for leading our team of teachers and seeing our students achieve outstanding academic growth. In her spare time, Mrs. Rachel enjoys spending time with her loving husband, energetic 8-year-old son, and beautiful 2-year-old daughter.

Major: Mathematics, Chemistry, and Religion
Mrs. Ann is often the first face new families see at Sylvan in Langhorne, PA. She is our Lead Teacher, and as such, is often responsible for administering assessment tests to incoming students. All who work with Ann feel welcome and at ease, as she enjoys working with students and making them comfortable. Because of her background, Mrs. Ann mostly teaches upper-level math. Mrs. Ann believes that working with a variety of wonderful students and being able to be a part of their progress is what makes Sylvan a great place to work. Mrs. Ann’s passion for teaching stems from the relationships with the students, the privilege of witnessing “Ah-Ha!” moments, and the sheer fun of working through math problems. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Ann enjoys spending time with her family, reading, baking and crafting.
Miss. Jaclyn is one of our lead teachers and testers. She often administers assessments to out incoming students and also teaches many of our academic programs. Miss. Jaclyn teaches fourth grade in a local school district. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling!
College: Penn State University B.S.
Major: Meteorology and Mathematics
The number Pi is what initially peaked Mr. Jason's interest in Mathematics. Ever since then, he has always enjoyed learning new mathematical concepts and applying them to solve different scenarios. At Sylvan, Mr. Jason has been teaching math skills to children and young adults. For over a year, he has specialized in teaching the mathematics section of the SAT preparatory class. Mr. Jason particularly enjoys teaching upper level math because he realizes its importance to students as they prepare for their college careers. Outside of math and teaching, Mr. Jason likes to spend time watching and forecasting the weather and never passes up the chance to chase a good thunderstorm!
College: Mercyhurst College
Major: Secondary Education, Concentration in Social Studies
Mr. John is motivated to teach at Sylvan because he likes to inspire students to be determined to succeed. Very friendly and approachable, Mr. John loves to get his students thinking in an effort to show them that no matter what they are studying, they have the ability to solve the problem. This attitude is what makes Mr. John a very successful tutor at Sylvan, and gives him the ability to teach a range of subjects and age groups. Mr. John loves teaching here because he wants to make a difference in students’ lives by showing them that they can accomplish whatever they set their minds to. In addition to tutoring, Mr. John is beginning a career working in social services. When not working, Mr. John enjoys reading, watching movies and playing pool.
