Success!Our daughter went from C,D, and F's to A and B in all classes her freshman year. History went from an F to an A in 9 weeks. Her confidence level rose 100% as a sophomore. She's doing excellent. The staff knows what she needs and helps without being told or asked. She loves going and loves everyone there that works with her. Math Success!My husband and I have been so pleased with our entire Sylvan experience. Steve has helped us every step of the way, whether it's understanding the "Sylvan program" in general or finding out about Lindsey's progress or just answering questions for us. He's also worked with us to tailor Lindsey's time at Sylvan around her needs once school started up again. Lindsey started Sylvan at a point when she was feeling, to quote Lindsey, "very stupid" and had almost no self-confidence about her academic abilities. Because she was behind in some areas, she never felt as good as the other students. She hated math. She dreaded tests because other children would finish first. She finished last year with a D in math. Now, however, it is a whole different story. The first progress report that came home from school showed that Lindsey had made ALL A's and B's!!! She feels so much more sure of herself in math and other areas in school as well. Her self-confidence has soared!!! She is understanding math now and isn't having to come to us that much anymore for homework help because she can UNDERSTAND it now. Lindsey has worked very hard, going to Sylvan three days a week throughout the summer and continuing with it twice a week now that school is back in session. She is serious about her time there and knows that she's there to help herself. Sylvan has given us the opportunity to prove to Lindsey that she IS smart (as we knew all along - she just needed a little extra help in learning that herself!!) Thank you!!! - Amy Lambert |

I can't praise Sylvan enough 4/19/09I can't praise Sylvan enough for the skills they helped my daughter build. She came to Sylvan below grade level in reading and by working together with the school system for years before we tried Sylvan (going to summer school for two years, getting tutored privately, working with several reading specialists in the school system, etc.). I only wish we had enrolled her earlier. Based on their success with my daughter, I now have my son enrolled.
