College Admissions Night
Sylvan will host it's next college information program for parents in early March. The programs will include presentations by guidance and college admissions counselors. Topics include:
- Setting the right academic course in high school.
- Determining college choices and understanding the application process.
- Finding SAT/ACT Success: Strategies that work, prep courses and interpreting scores.
- Financial Aid / Paying for college: What you need to know.
The program is geared for parents of 9th, 10th and 11th graders, but is also appropriate for parents of 12th graders as you chart the course for their successful transition to college. Call 832-1000 for more information.

Free SAT Diagnostic Test
Sylvan Learning Center will host Free SAT Diagnostic Tests on Saturday, Oct. 31 and again on Saturday, Nov. 21 at the learning center. This is a complete SAT practice test for juniors looking to take the SAT or ACT in the spring. A full analysis report of the results will be available to parents within five business days. The test and report allows parents to gauge their students’ readiness for upcoming college entrance exams. The test begins at 9 am and will last until 1 pm. Students must provide their own calculators. Call 832-1000 to register. The test and the report are free.
