Family College Night

In early November, Sylvan is hosting a regional college prep night program for parents here at the Lynchburg learning center from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The program includes guidance and college admissions counselors talking about:

§ College Prep: Setting the right academic course in high school, determining your target list of schools, understanding the application process.

§ Finding SAT/ACT Success: Strategies that work, prep courses and interpreting scores

§ Financial Aid / Paying for college: Investing in your child’s future with scholarship, grants, loans and more.

§ Admissions: Know what colleges are looking for in an application

The program is geared for parents of 9th, 10th and 11th graders, but is also appropriate for parents of 12th graders as you chart the course for their successful transition to college. We hope you can attend. Door prizes and refreshments.
