Center Director, Burlington tutoring

Meredith Thornton

Center Director

Meredith is the Center Director at Sylvan Learning Center in Burlington, NC. She has worked with Sylvan Learning Center since 2001. She comes to Sylvan with a degree in Psychology from UNC Wilmington. She has held a variety of
positions through out her Sylvan career and decided in 2003 to make Burlington her home. Her favorite thing about her position is watching each student's confidence grow and changing the "I can't" attitude to "I can."

Her favorite day at Sylvan...When a parent came up to me and asked me for a hug because we had done with her child something she thought was impossible.

Priscilla Chrismon

Assistant Program Director

Priscilla is the Assistant Program Director at our Burlington, NC location. She comes to Sylvan with a degree in Elementary and Middle School Education and in Music from Trevecca Nazarene University. She has been a teacher for 30 years! Her favorite thing about her position is the wonderful students and awsome co-workers.

Favorite day at Sylvan...My best day was when my young student who had many learning challenges read his first book and then said, "I love you," and gave me a hug.
