Meet the Tutors
Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:
- Pinpoint your child’s learning needs using the Sylvan Skills Assessment®
- Develop a personalized learning plan based on your child’s goals
- Offer unique insights about what will work for your child
- Teach each lesson the way your child learns best
- Build a relationship with your child to provide learning that’s fun, engaging and rewarding
Laura C Humphreys
Center Director
Laura comes to Sylvan after teaching upper level mathematics at Oak Ridge Military Academy. She has been working with Sylvan since 2004. Laura is responsible for center operations, including enrollment and community relations.
Jennifer Cleveland
Director of Education
Jen has come to Sylvan after teaching for 4 years at Our Lady of Grace Catholic school. Jen directly oversees specific students' programs and academic progress. In addition, she manages and trains our wonderful teaching staff.
Julie Prekup
Tutor
Julie has been with Sylvan for 3 years and is currently teaching with Lexington City Schools. She loves Sylvan because of the small group instruction and the friendly atmosphere.
Annamaria Robb
Tutor
Annamaria is a graduate of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana with a degree in elementary education. She has worked at 3 different Sylvan locations. She enjoys writing, sailing and reading in her spare time.
Brandi Sikes
Tutor
Brandi has been working at Sylvan for 5 years now. When she is not at Sylvan she is at home with her 3 kids and husband.
