Teacher of the Month!
Ms. Carol has been a part of our Sylvan family since 2002! She is such an asset to our educational team as a teacher of almost all Sylvan subjects - math, reading, writing, study skills, SAT and ACT Prep and more! Carol's students develop a wonderful relationship with her and she is the woman behind so many of our students' success stories. We want to thank her for all of her hard work and dedication over the years!
Student of the Month!
Alex has been chosen as our Student of the Month! His hard work on his reading and math skills has definitely paid off. We love seeing Alex's smiling face in the center and we look forward to seeing his progress in the future. Congratulations, Alex!
Parent of the Month!
Joe and Alison Womack have been a part of the Sylvan family since October 2008. They have been very dedicated and involved in their son's education and they strive to do whatever they can to provide him with all possible opportunities. You may have met the Womack's in our lobby. They are very outgoing and friendly; ready to engage in pleasant conversation. The Womacks are quick to be appreciative for any help they receive and we want them to know that the feeling is mutual. Latest NC Reading EOG Scores show large decline
The latest EOG Reading scores show a decline in Reading proficiency among NC students.
The new scores are much closer to the scores of NC students on national tests and a better representation of where NC students really stand.

SAT Prep Winter Dates!
Prepare for the January 23rd SAT!
Winter 2009 (November through January)
• Practice tests will be held on the following days at 8:15 am – Saturday, November 14th / Saturday, December 12th / Saturday, January 9th
• SAT instruction begins Tuesday, November 17th and continues through Thursday, January 21st.
Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m
** Class will NOT be held on the following Tuesdays and Thursdays due to the center being closed for holidays:
Thursday, November 26th
Thursday, December 24th
Tuesday, December 29th
Thursday, December 31st (classes will resume Tuesday, January 5th)
