Becky Taylor
Franchisee
Becky purchased her first Sylvan franchise in 1987 and currently owns 5 centers in eastern NC. Becky holds a Masters Degree in Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities. Her teaching experience includes ten years in the public schools where she taught exceptional students in grades K - 12. Although she loves working with students of all ages, she especially enjoys working with middle school students. Becky also had the pleasure of teaching in the College of Education at East Carolina University for a few years before her career with Sylvan. Becky has a passion for Sylvan and has worked with thousands of Sylvan families during the past 23 years.
Debbie Sommer
Regional Director
Debbie is a graduate of East Carolina University with a BS in Elementary Education. She began her career with Sylvan in 1999. As the Regional Director, Debbie assists the local and regional center operations. She works with Sylvan instructors to help students achieve their educational goals; conducts student progress meetings with parents and teachers; selects, trains, and manages staff members; and plans and participates in events that increase community awareness.
Jodie Kadlick
Director
Jodie is a graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan College with a degree in English and History. She began her Sylvan career in 1999. As the Center Director Jodie meets with parents and students to assure that all students meet their academic needs. Jodie also takes care of all of the business and community events to raise awareness for the Rocky Mount Sylvan Learning Center.
