Math Confidence

"When we moved from South Carolina to Greenville, John was about to start the
third grade and was behind in math. John was frustrated and we wanted to
get help for him, especially with the EOG looming ahead of him. That's when
I called Sylvan. He was assessed and a program was created for him based on
his needs. After only a couple of months, I was noticing a difference in
the confidence he exuded when it came to math. He was even doing some
computations in his head for the first time. John passed the EOG with
flying colors, is continuing to succeed in math , and is making straight A's
this year. He used to really dislike math, but several months into the
fourth grade, he actually said it would have to be his favorite subject."

I Love Sylvan

"My son Duncan has been attending the Sylvan Learning Center for over two years. The center has been fantastic for Duncan. When I first went to Sylvan, I spoke with Debbie about the things I wanted for my son. She was very informative and helpful. When Duncan first went to Sylvan, he did not like school and hated to write. Duncal will write now without complaining. His attitude towards schools and education is positive now. Kristin has been a huge help with Duncan's attitude and progress in school. She is a great tutor at the center, and works well with Duncan. She has also helped with communicating with his school teachers. The people at Sylvan have been absolutely great for Duncan and me. Tristan Loves Miss Deanna

"My son Tristan attends Sylvan twice per week and Miss Deanna Hughes is his primary tutor. We have had such a positive experience with her. She finds his interests and teaches him through those interests. Just since June, when he started I can see him blossoming in maturity, confidence and knowledge. He writes now and is way ahead of his preschool as far as the alphabet, colors, shapes and more. Sylvan especially Deanna has been so flexible with changing schedules and even doing the monthly meeting in the car, as I have a two year old and eight week old. I really feel he is becoming so prepared for school. Tristan loves it too! He was 3 1/2 when he started. Thank you, Sylvan!"
