Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

Becky Taylor
Franchisee
Becky purchased her first Sylvan franchise in 1987 and currently owns 5 centers in eastern NC. Becky holds a Masters Degree in Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities. Her teaching experience includes ten years in the public schools where she taught exceptional students in in grades K - 12. Although she loves working with students of all ages, she especially enjoys working with middle school students. Becky also had the pleasure of teaching in the College of Education at East Carolina University for a few years before her career with Sylvan. Becky has a passion for Sylvan and has worked with thousands of Sylvan families during the past 23 years.
Stephanie Price
Director
Stephanie started with Sylvan in October of 2003. She spent several years working as a teacher, a nanny, a private tutor and a chef. She started at Sylvan as a part-time teacher and moved her way up to Center Director. Stephanie believes every child has the ability to learn and achieve academic excellence if they are motivated and nurtured.
Tracey Daughety
Operatons Coordinator
Tracey started with Sylvan in July of 1999.
Paula Woolard
Instructor
Paula started with Sylvan in August of 2004. She tutors Beginning Reading, Academic Reading and Math Essentials.
Reid Brodie
Instructor
Mr. Reid is a retired Civil Engineer. He loves teaching Math and Science to Sylvan's High School population.
Chandra Longboy
Instructor
Ms. Chandra is a graduate of East Carolina University. She has a dgree in Education. She has previously taught in North Carolina and California.
Pat Oswalt
Administrative Assistant
Ms. Pat is the administrative assistant at Sylvan of Washington. She really enjoys working with students of all ages, especially the little ones!
