Deena Bryant

Center Director

Deena began working for Sylvan in January 2001. Deena is known as our Math expert at the center. Deena’s favorite part of working at Sylvan is when her former students come by to visit and update her on their success since working with Sylvan. Deena enjoys traveling, classical music, spending time with her family and helping others.

Toni Harris

Director

Toni has been an invaluable member of the Sylvan team since March 2004. Toni is incredibly adept at determining the needs of individual students and developing effective plans to address them. In her years at Sylvan Toni has helped many students grow and achieve their true potential. Toni is an avid animal lover. She also enjoys spending time with her family and cooking.

Lucia Craven

Director of Education

Lucia began working for Sylvan in August 2011. She brings to our center many years of experience in teaching Language Arts all over the country. She is an expert at writing and editing. Lucia loves reading and science. She is also a master of trivia.

Ms. LaDa

Teacher Assistant

LaDa is probably the most fun person at the center. LaDa spends her time at Sylvan assisting the students, parents, directors, and teachers. She has a way of helping others and making everyone feel welcome. LaDa is also a talented artist. The students love to share their art work with LaDa and vice versa.

Ms. Pat

Teacher

Ms. Pat has taught at our center for many years. She is very versatile and wonderful at teaching reading, writing, math, and ACT/SAT prep. She has even been nationally recognized as an excellent Sylvan teacher! As a school librarian, she has a passion and enthusiasm for reading that is infectious.

Ms. Debbie

Teacher

Ms. Debbie is one of those teachers you never forget. She is an excellent educator who possesses a level of skill and patience that students find comfortable and encouraging. Ms. Debbie has taught for many years and has the ability to help students who have different learning styles/needs. Also, Ms. Debbie and her family thoroughly enjoy sports. On an evening in the Spring you can probably catch her at a park watching a baseball game.

Mr. Jeff

Teacher

Mr. Jeff is a math expert. He has taught Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Statistics, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. He is currently the head of the math department at his school. We are thankful to have Jeff's skills on our team. Mr. Jeff also enjoys reading, defeating crossword puzzles, and sodoku.

Ms. Sonya

Ms. Sonya has been with Sylvan for many years. She has over 10 years of experience as an elementary school teacher. Although she is able to teach students of all ages with ease, she is especially masterful with teaching PreK-2 students. Sonya is a very warm and caring educator. She is an encouraging teacher who possesses the utmost amount of patience.

Ms. Kristina is another math authority at our center. She maintains high proficiency rates at her school where she is currently teaching Geometry and Algebra 2. Ms. Kristina is a hard working math teacher who doesn't stop until every student understands. She believes in her students and helps them gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed in math. We admire her ability to teach challenging math concepts to all students. Ms. Kristina enjoys making math fun and has a great rapport with her students.
