Son Failing High SchoolMy son was failing high school and was in danger of not graduating. Sylvan helped him to focus on his work and perform in school with better study skills. Sylvan Saved College And ScholarshipIt would be impossible to describe our Sylvan experience objectively without emotion becoming involved. My son had failed his math class three times in the past year. As a result, he had effectively lost his scholarship to college and his football career was gone with it. As a result of Sylvan's responsiveness to our needs my son was able to leave California one day, take the diagnostic assessement in Ladson, SC the next day and begin classes the next week. He successfully completed his math course and regained his scholarship. First Grader Now Reading And ComprehendingMy son, Malik, is seven years old and in the first grade. When he began his beginning reading program at Sylvan his reading ability was below average (about 50%) of where he was suppose to be scoring. At the end of his beginning reading program his ability to read was above average (98%). Sylvan has helped Malik read better and to understand what he reads.
