Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

Thomas Lashley
Franchise Operator/District Center Director
Prior to owning two centers in this franchise area, Tom was a Curriculum Coordinator and an educator with the public schools system. He is also the superintendent-elect for Lafayette County Schools. He earned his masters degree in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University. He has 17 years experience in education, and has served at all levels from teacher to superintendent of schools, as well as with Suwannee Valley Learning Inc.
Dana Lashley
Franchise Operator/ District Center Director
Dana has 14 years experience in education, mainly in the classroom and guidance counseling. She has a master’s degree in guidance from Valdosta State University, and post master’s hours in social work and counseling. She currently serves as Center Director for the Live Oak Center where she oversees daily operations, as well as serving part-time as Center Director in the Lake City Center.
Shannon Moser
Director Of Education
Shannon has been a part of the Sylvan team since 2006. She has a Bachelors degree in Criminology from Florida State University and continues to pursue her ambition of teaching young children. Shannon has recently completed her Masters Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Florida. Shannon enjoys her interaction with the students at Sylvan because she knows these young people are receiving the educational tools they need to help them succeed.
Patty Garrett
Administrative Assistant
Patty is the pleasant voice you will hear when you call and the friendly face that will first greet you when you come in our center. Her expertise in the front office is unparalleled. She has been a part of the team since March 2007.
