Before joining Sylvan as a franchisee, Jane served at Sylvan Learning's corporate headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland as President of the Early Learning Division. Prior to this, she was CEO of Discovery Toys, an educational toy company in Livermore, California and CEO of Dorling Kindersley Family Learning, an educational publisher in Orlando, Florida. Jane is a teacher by profession and taught high school in England prior to moving to the United States in 1999. She earned her Masters and Bachelors degrees in England in the areas of Education, Physical Education, English, and Marketing.
Ben has worked for Sylvan for a year and a half and has loved every day of it.
He enjoys being able to help students achieve success and witness them grow so much during their time at Sylvan. Ben is currently studying political science at the University of Central Florida.
Vilma Wheeler is an Instructor, and has worked for Sylvan for three years. She is originally from New York. Vilma graduated from Hofstra University, and she is currently a teacher’s aide at Satellite High School.
Gail holds her Master's degree in Education. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Fordham University. She began teaching in NYC but has been teaching in Brevard County for over 20 years. It is 20 years and counting that she has been with Sylvan. "Sylvan consistently uses the newest techniques and materials to help our children be successful."
Josh has been an instructor at Sylvan for about ten months. In 2009, he graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. Degree in Psychology, with a focus in Neuropsychology. During his collegiate career, Josh was presented with awards in communications and mathematics, and also headed a creative writing club. His hobbies include playing guitar and traveling.
