We are excited to welcome Lesley Wilson, Travis Marn and Erin Jones to our Sylvan team. Lesley graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and she currently teaches third grade. She is a joy to have at the center with her cheery attitude and passion for teaching. Lesley is a great addition to the Sylvan team!
Travis attended the Educators Preparation Institute at Santa Fe Community College, and he is looking to pursue his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. He is primarily teaching our higher level math students, and he is aiding steady student progress. Travis' enthusiasm to instill greater knowledge into our students is inspiring.
Erin is currently a reading teacher at Ridgewood High School. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts, and she is currently pursuing her Reading Endorsement from the University of Central Florida. Erin is working with our upper-level reading and writing students. With her passion for writing and vast vocabulary knowledge, she is highly qualified to offer instruction for our college bound upper-classmen. Soon Erin will be applying her advanced skills to help with our SAT Prep Seminar classes as well. We look forward to continuing to provide excellent services through these outstanding additions to our staff!
"I am so happy with the progress that Bianca is making. She is starting to do homework on her own, and she is reading more fluently. When she gets stuck on a word, she breaks it down until she figures it out. Within the first three weeks at Sylvan, she jumped from a level 8 to a level 12. Her teachers have mentioned a significant difference. She even reads to her little sister now!"
