Parent TestimonialSylvan has been a blessing to my daughter, Yadira. When Yadira entered pre-school, she was having behavioral problems. She has always loved school, so I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I asked her teacher to watch and tell me during which subject she was misbehaving. We quickly realized she had problems in math. When Yadira entered Kindergarten, her teacher again had the same problem with her and again, it was during math. I tried purchasing every educational electronic game and board game possible for her, but nothing worked. When she entered 1st grade, I was called in for a conference to only find out that she was an excellent speller and reader, but was failing math. If she did not improve, she would have to repeat the 1st grade. I called Sylvan and had her tested. I found out that she was at a pre-school level in math. Within 6 weeks, Yadira brought her grade up from a "U" to a "B" in math!! Today, she is in 2nd grade. The teacher now tells me that Yadira's academic strenghts include spelling, and MATH!!
