Annette has been a Sylvan Owner for over eleven years. She has enjoyed operating centers that have guided students in several counties to reach their maximum academic potential. Annette currently owns and operates nine Sylvan Learning Center as well as plays an active role in the communities in order to help educate parents about the wonderful opportunity Sylvan can bring to a child of any age. Annette has been married for ten years to Doug and is a proud mother of two beautiful children.
Cynthia was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She moved to Sebring, Florida in 1991. She enjoys playing golf and tennis. She is very involved with the community and volunteers for SHARE and supports the Children’s Museum. Her love for children and her commitment to giving them a solid education led her to Sylvan. She enjoys making a difference in children’s lives by helping them discover the joy of learning. Her motto is IMAGINE…BELIEVE…ACHIEVE…
Karen has taught for over 38 years and has had experience in grades 2-8. Karen likes to teach because she says that “it keeps her young and that she loves children”. Karen moved from Ohio to Florida in 2002 and never wants to leave Florida. Her hobbies include reading and golf. She also raised and exhibited dogs (great Danes) most of her adult life.
Heather is a Florida native and currently employed by Highlands County School board as an Elementary Education teacher. In her spare time she enjoys reading, scrap booking, and spending time with family and friends.
Phyllis has been with Sylvan for over 5 years she is a retired teacher from southern Indiana. She loves to travel and has visited all the states except Alaska but hopes to get there this year. She likes to read, work jigsaw puzzles, bowl and play golf. She likes teaching because she likes to see the look of accomplishment in the student when they finally learn a concept.
Jordan is a middle school integrated science teacher. Much of his time is spent working with the youth in the church and community and hopes someday to become a youth counselor. Jordan is very committed to providing outstanding education services to help the children do his or her best.
Rebecca moved from Kansas to sunny Sebring to pursue a career in elementary education. She is currently teaching ESE grades 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at Lake Placid Elementary school. Rebecca enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends.
