Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:
Lee is our Center Director. She attended Vanderbilt University, the University of Connecticut, and USF. She holds a B.S. in neurobiology and physiology and an MBA. Lee has just transferred to our Sarasota office. She has been the Center Director of our Naples and Fort Myers locations for the past 3 years.
Ashley was a teacher for several years before coming to Sylvan. She holds a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and has taught in both charter and public schools. She is endorsed in English as a Second Language (ESOL), has done coursework in the reading endorsement and gifted studies programs, and has also worked and trained in schools practicing inclusion.
Miss Judi lived in Michigan until 2006. She taught 2nd grade through 6th grade in private, public, and charter schools for many years and loved it!
She loves working with children and seeing them grow in confidence and learn. Her favorite part of teaching was reading interesting books orally to her students.
She enjoys living in Venice, FL and is thankful to have her daughter, son and precious grandson living closeby. Her favorite things to do include swimming, traveling, reading, and teaching children at her church.
Donna received a BA Degree in English from Gettysburg College as well as Master's Degrees from Drew University and the Shakespeare Institute of the University of Birmingham, England. She has taught English at the high school and university levels and is a published author. Currently, she works as a freelance editor and enjoys tutoring at Sylvan. She finds the SAT/ACT and writing programs especially rewarding.
Sue is currently teaching Latin at Pineview. She loves inspiring our students to succeed.
Gabby enjoys working with students of all ages. Her area of expertise is math.
Connie's passion is working with our young students and helping them learn to read.
After retiring from the Michigan public school system, Sharon moved to Florida in 2003. She has a BA Degree in French and English as well as a Master's Degree in Special Education. She has also taught ESOL in the private sector. In addition to working with students, she enjoys golfing, traveling and reading.
Patricia graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BA Degree. Her majors are in Elementary Education and American History. The focus of her career is in early childhood and elementary education. She holds lifetime certifications in K-8. Through the years she has attended numerous workshops and classes to keep her skills and certification current.
