Meet the Tutors
Our Sylvan trained and certified tutors are dedicated to your child’s success. Working together with you, we will:

- Develop a personalized learning plan based on your child’s goals
- Offer unique insights about what will work for your child
- Teach each lesson the way your child learns best
- Build a relationship with your child to provide learning that’s fun, engaging and rewarding
Elizabeth Boyte, B.A. History
Director
Elizabeth is originally from Tallahassee, Florida. She graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in History and minors in Anthropology & Art from Thomas University. While in college she was a member of the student led Honor Council and Alpha Chi, a National Collegiate Honor Society. She has an extensive background in early childhood education and volunteer work for literacy programs and youth enrichment and education. She is a Board Member of Citrus County Education Foundation and Citrus Leadership Council and actively volunteers with agencies throughout the county.
Annette Miller
Executive Director / Owner
Annette has been a Sylvan Owner for over eleven years. She has enjoyed operating centers that have guided students in several counties to reach their maximum academic potential. Annette currently owns and operates nine Sylvan Learning Center as well as plays an active role in the communities in order to help educate parents about the wonderful opportunity Sylvan can bring to a child of any age. Annette has been married for ten years to Doug and is a proud mother of two beautiful children.
Michelle Crawford, B.S. Psychology
Program Manager
Michelle is a native of Citrus County. She graduated from Crystal River High School and attained her A.A. degree from CFCC in Lecanto. She graduated from the University of Central Florida Summa Cum Laude. We are excited to have her on our team!
Patsy Delp, B.S. Special Education, M.E. Educational Leadership
Instructor
Patsy comes to Sylvan from Sells, Arizona where she was both a teacher and a principal at the Santa Rosa Ranch School under the auspices of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Her background includes working with diverse populations that include Hispanics and Native Americans. Patsy received her B.S. degree from Bloomsburg State University with a major in Special Education and her M.E. degree from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Patsy brings boundless enthusiasm to our Sylvan Learning Center.
Sam Evans, B.S. Mathematics, Secondary Education
Instructor
Sam is retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years. He taught mathematics and Spanish at Carrabelle High School and has tutored ACT and SAT prep. Sam enjoys reading, fishing, and all other outdoor activities.
Samantha Churchwell, B.S. Elementary Education
Instructor
Samantha is a native of Citrus County, Florida. She is a graduate of Saint Leo University with a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education. Samantha is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. She is an active member in her community. She believes if a child is given the proper tools they will build a successful future.
Caila Daziel
Administrative Assistant
Caila has been part of our team for several years. She currently attends Central Florida Community College and will transfer to University of South Florida to pursue her degree in journalism. She brings passion to educational excellence and is a vital component of our team.
